A person on Imara's team in Nairobi reads what you send, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

In the app

Write to Imara from Settings.

  1. Tap your photo at the top of the app to open Settings (in the caretaker's and the house hunter's app, tap your photo on Home, then Settings; in a shop's, tap the shop's photo, then Settings).
  2. Tap Help (in some ways of using Imara it is called Help and support or Help and safety).
  3. Write to Imara, or choose what it is about: a payment, an order, a boost, something in the app that is broken, or someone to report. Say what happened and send it. A problem with a payment carries the payment with it, so it is found fast.
  4. Help also has Imara's own WhatsApp and phone line, if you would rather talk.

Cannot open the app?

Write to [email protected]. Say the phone number your account uses and what you need. Never send your sign in code or your ID number by email: Imara never asks for them.

How Imara works.

Every role's Settings has How Imara works: each part of the app and a guide for each thing you can do, step by step, with pictures of the real screens.

Someone is bothering you.

In any chat you can block or report someone. Imara's trust and safety team reads every report and decides what happens.

What Imara did about you.

You may ask what Imara's staff have done about your account. Ask from the Privacy page in Settings, and support answers in your chat with Imara.

Leaving Imara.

You can delete your account yourself, in the app. How, and what is kept.
